What's it like living in Oklahoma City or Norman, OK?

I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina (have for 4 years now) and my boyfriend will be relocating for work to OCK or to Norman, OK. I've done quite a bit of research on both cities and I can't find anything negative about Oklahoma. It seems like a nice state. Now I've lived in Indianapolis, Indiana (boring) and grew up in Orlando, Florida so I don't expect it to be like Orlando but hope its more fun than Indianapolis and/or Charlotte. Just asking for people's opinion.
