I think that you should go to the pound, rescue center, or a humane society if you are really looking for a puppy/dog. The dogs/puppies that are in the newspapers already have a home and they would easily be able to get a home if they are anything like what is said about them in the newspapers. When you go to the examples I gave you, you can meet the dogs that don't always get a home and you can see for yourself how they react!
