How does the US media usually rank the medal tally?

While gold is important, you have to remember there are two other medals to be won, silver and bronze. So the rest of the world is ignorant when it comes to that. The rest of the world is saying oh silver and bronze really don't mean anything gold is all that matters. That is so wrong. Total medals is what counts. Silver and bronze are just as important as gold.
